A Neighborhood classic is back in action after being abandoned for years. The owners want nothing more than that old dive bar feel with a new age appeal. For over 140 years, Barringer’s has been a part of the Indianapolis community, At one point, there used to be a bathhouse, a barber’s chair, a bowling alley, a farmers market, and a boarding house located on the property.
Barringer's Tavern has been Re-Established as a hot spot.
This place is fantastic! Food and service were both top notch. Pricing is very reasonable. I had their cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger is hand pattied from fresh beef. The fries are cut in house from fresh potatoes...
Fun and friendly neighborhood bar, some would call a dive bar. Friendly and very attentive service. Food was good and beer was cold. Restrooms were very clean. We will be back!
You absolutely must go here. I honestly dont want to write more because the above is as succinctly as I can say what you need to know. If you give a single hoot about Indiana, this is a place you must visit...
So freaking good! I wish I lived closer to this place, I love the family atmosphere and the history behind it. Barringers is filled with old racing pictures and other items that are always fun to check out.
The food was nice for the price you pay. The staff were friendly with a constant smile. In the back the patio is tucked away which gives it a cozy feel.
